Upcoming Events:

First event of the season:

Fall Warm-Up:

September 21st, 22nd, Saturday and Sunday.

Club meeting Saturday. Info coming.

Info from Maggie: Fall warm up will be a chance to run dogs on Camp Koinonia trails, catch up with friends and hopefully make some new friends. There will be a gear swap, "on-by" practice, a potluck (Saturday about 6pm). I will set up some other activities.
Gear swap items so far: harnesses, snow hooks, mega brake, skijoring belt & lines, "see me" vest, dog dishes, hats, gloves, mittens, parka, rain gear, rubber boots, and lots of books.
Potluck: I will be bringing sloppy joes to feed 20 to 24, including, meat, buns, cheese, onions, and plates. Another main dish would probably be good plus some side dishes and a dessert or 2.

Please send your comments on the proposed race rules changes to Connie. This Club runs on your active participation. A reminder to renew your Membership to receive the eligibility to purchase a Trail Pass, reduced race fees, and to receive Championship Points. The trail pass is $45 and allows you to run on and off trails throughout the season. The fees go to plowing, by Michael, who did not charge us for this last year, for grooming, again done by Michael, and to have a porta potty available all season, which runs the Club close to $100 monthly. Ingrid has just made the first $1250 payment of our loan extended by Camp K to support the pavilion project. Buy those passes and enter the races so we can build up our funds. The camping fees at our events also go to the Club. (Thank you Camp K)

The Tunnel run (K9 Scooters event) date has changed for the safety of the dogs due to the heat. We are also changing things up this year. Camping Sat night Sept 28th at Lake Easton State Park and Tunnel Run Sunday 9am. Social Sat night at Lake Easton State park. Menu to come. Make your own reservations for Saturday night camping at washington.goingtocamp.com Try to reserve sites 71-77.
